Just noticed a link on the website of a magazine many of us are familiar with, offering a subscription to a digital version. Has anyone any experience with such? My paper sub has lapsed, I know most content appears on the website eventually, but I'm still drawn to buy the mag most months. Are the adverts still in? |

TBH I've never noticed the adverts, only to the extent where I turn the page. I expect a digital version would have even more. Personally, I prefer to be able to spend time away from the computer. I don't fancy lugging the PC into the toilet just to read a mag. ![]() |

The only reason I still subscribe is so I have something to read on the train. I guess I could use a laptop, but paper doesn't run out of battery and takes no time to boot up. It also doesn't matter if I leave it behind. I haven't actually read the last 2 months. They're still in the cellophane! |

What's a digital magazine? Surely is that not just a website? |

I think they are handled by Flash (or similar) and have “page turning” features. So a bit more work than a website to get through. |
