Post subject:  D-Day 6th of June 1944 ...

The 6th of June 1944, on this cold, dank, misty morning young men from Britain, USA, Canada and other allied nations landed on French soil in Normandy on beaches Gold, Sword, Omaha, Utah and Juno In the largest seaborne and airborne invasion ever undertaken to free occupied Europe, now known as D-Day. On this 75th anniversary I wish to give my most heart felt thanks for the courage, determination and selflessness, of all the troops who were involved, in this massive undertaking. without which the freedoms we hold dear today would not be possible.

They will grow not old, as we grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning.
We shall remember them.
