Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen first released as a single in the U.K.
Originally released October 31, 1975 and lifted from the "A Night At The Opera" album, "Bohemian Rhapsody" is often considered to be Queen's magnum opus and one of the all-time greatest songs, reaching the #1 spot in numerous territories (nine consecutive weeks in the UK alone).

1918 At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the Great War ended; a war that had lasted for 4 years and 97 days. Germany, bereft of manpower, supplies and food, signed an armistice agreement with the Allies. The war left 9 million soldiers dead and more than 21 million wounded, with Germany, Russia, Austria, Hungary, France, and Great Britain each losing nearly a million or more lives. In addition, some 6 million civilians died from disease, starvation, or exposure.

"On the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour. Troops of all nations from around the world. Who where entrenched in wet, dank and bitterly cold conditions, laid down there arms instead of their lives so peace could begin after the dark horrors of a long and bitter war. Let us, on this 100th anniversary, never forget the sacrifices of our fore bearers, of all nations. So that we can continue too enjoy the peace and freedoms that they so sadly gave up their all for. No matter whoever they were, wherever they remain. They shall not be forgotten, with the rising and setting of the Sun, they shall be remembered. May they all rest in peace for eternity" …

1916 The Battle of the Somme (World War 1) ended. By the end of the battle, the British Army had suffered 420,000 casualties including nearly 60,000 on the first day alone. The French lost 200,000 men and the Germans nearly 500,000. The battle epitomised the futility of trench warfare and the indiscriminate slaughter of so many men.
