Do you remember Digitiser, that-off-the-wall Teletext comouter games magazine? You do? Well, get this: Mr Biffo tasked myself and John Parker to put together a stickers app featuring as many of the Digi characters that we could. I managed to locate most through various Teletext archives, so managed to assemble the entire Panel 4 team (so not just Violet Berlin). And Speed King. Some may be missing - and that may be because they’ve vanished due to the nature of Teletext. Who knows, more may surface in the future! John and I compiled and rebuilt these loveable characters for the stickers app. John’s using his Apple dev account being used for the app itself, and his patience in convincing Apple that, yes, we weren't passing ourselves off as Biffo without permission is now legendary. We even got a detail of Turner the a Worm being sick past Apple's gate keeper, so that's a bonus! The size of the stickers limited what we could do with the full frame - so the whole horror won't be there. We did an update last week - I managed to get as many of the 25th anniversary characters that would work (pretty much all of them) in the iMessage format and add them to the app. So if you haven’t already, check your phone updates. Still wondering how we can add these to Android - but drawing a blank. Looks like there isn’t a centralised way to do it. |
