We got letters today from a company offering repeat prescriptions by post. You set up an account, they contact your doctor and every so often you get a reminder to pay for a new prescription, and they post it to you.

Sounds wonderful - but I’d rather walk to the pharmacy than entrust my medication to the postal service, thankyouverymuch.

Also, this outfit, which is using the NHS logo, seems to be making up their own words:

So, err, no thanks.

Which company is it? If they're a pharmacy company, it may well be legitimate. Having said that, pharmacy2u is a company but has been found to have sold details of its customers without their knowledge.

They were probably good when prescriptions had to be collected by patients who then took it to a pharmacy to cash in for medication. But a lot of pharmacies (at least locally) now deliver medication for you. Prescription ordering now can also be done online, which goes to the surgery, who sign it, and it goes to a pharmacy nominated by the patient. So order online and collect "in store".
