Supermarket inflation doubled last month as shoppers had to pay more for staples such as butter and tea, underlining expectations that household budgets will come under extra pressure in 2017.

A box of cereal is £2.50 over here short of an offer being on. Butter's at least £1.50 in Tesco. The prices are fcuking scandalous.

I paid £2.10 for cornflakes yesterday and butter is always about £1. How are those prices bad? What would you normally pay?

Er, the prices I just mentioned are standard over here for Kellogg's Cornflakes and whatever brand of butter you normally go in for in Tesco, who control the average supermarket over here. Anything below that there's a 'sale' on. This is low-paid Belfast I'm talking about here. When it's costing 90p+ extra every few items, you soon notice!

You buy in London. The fact our prices are now comparable with yours is quite telling in itself.

So prices over there have gone up? I did a supermarket shop last week and the only considerable price change I noticed was on olive oil.

The news last night reported that the numbers of Brits applying for German citizenship has grown by over 500% since Brexit.

I haven't applied yet, but maybe I should, before they start applying quotas!

This is not a game.
It impacts people in the real world, in real, tangible ways.
Still, I hope you're enjoying yourself.

Sorry I forgot we were now living in a post truth world. My bad.

I wonder what the National Socialists will say once the economy really takes the hit. No doubt it will all be the "remoaners" fault for not believing in, and getting behind, the process.
