Processed meats rank alongside smoking as cancer causes – WHO | Society | The Guardian

I don't eat as much meat as they're worried about, but you can fcuk off with suggestions like that...

Even if a bacon sandwich is as bad for you as a cig, who has a 20 sarnies a day habit?

Blah blah blah it's Monday so let's put out another story about what supposedly gives us cancer. Next week it will be something else.

I know why don't we just be done with it and say everything gives us cancer? Or why don't they admit that they really don't know why some people get cancer and others don't?

Hey it's Tuesday and we're all going to die! Hoorah!

I'm increasingly losing confidence in IARC as an agency.
Pretty much everything they look at they decide is a carcinogen to some extend regardless.

Seriously THAT's what you got from that article?

Well my mother smoked to the day she died and she didn't die of cancer.

My Dad didn't smoke and he did die of cancer.

My Nan smoked up to 20-40 a day until her 80s and she didn't die of cancer.

So Mr clever clogs what do you make of that?

Err.. I kind of think you've missed the point of the post. It wasn't about the lethality (or not) of cigarettes themselves.

That a sample size of 3 is statistically irrelevant for the purpose of drawing conclusions.

The only thing consistent for everyone that had cancer is that they were living

It's living that gives you cancer :D

Living is terminal :D

Various forms of oxygen (that are naturally produced by the body) are carcinogenic so you're pretty much stuffed from the get go anyway. There's a reason living is always fatal.

Relax, it's only the smoked bacon you have to worry about, and only then if you get through 20 a day.

An oldie, but...

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats
And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION
Eat and drink what you like.Speaking English is apparently what kills you.
