http://www.ew.com/article/2015/08/14/da ... y-finished So, that's it. They can't go on for ever, and this wasn't really much of a suspense. I always got the feeling that the Division Bell was the end of the project. |

Lol, and I'd be amazed if that dude's ever listened to that album. |

I know what you mean about Division Bell feeling like the end (I guess partly because it was for a long time). Endless River I've only listened to once, and left if with a general feeling of "what was the point of that". It doesn't seem to contribute anything at all to the otherwise phenomenal body of work that Floyd put out in their time. But then again it was just Gilmore and Mason working on it from what I gather, so at best only half of Pink Floyd. |

I must confess that while I have added Endless River to my iTunes wishlist, I haven't yet bought it. Despite the above, Pink Floyd has an incredibly impressive body of work, and thanks to the early stuff and the divergence the band took with the departure of Roger Waters (and everything that came after), it's also a very eclectic and diverse musical history. It's a strange thing, but I recall when The Division Bell first came out, and all the big, major supporters of the band said that it just wasn't the same as the previous albums, and yet now it is considered classic Floyd. I think this thread may have just given me the kick up the arse that I needed to buy Endless River, if only for completion's sake. Mark |
