this is the second time this year while trying to stop shop lifters taking £186 worth of whiskey but this time the person was extremely violent. the security guard had a dislocated knee another staff member got a broken nose myself received 2 cracked ribs. its seems to be getting more violent a few days off then back to the front line ... |

Blimey. Are you paid enough to be taking that sort of damage? When I was doing bar work, our bosses always told us if someone wanted the till, just hand it over. The company would rather lose a couple of hundred quid than have staff being hurt. Get well soon. |

At the risk of sounding like a douche, are you trained in pain compliance techniques and are you "allowed" to fight back against thieves? Otherwise, seems you and your guys are on a bit of a loser... |

There are plenty of jobs where people are paid basic wages and are regularly subjected to violence. One of my friends occasionally gets battered and she's a care worker. |
