I can't remember where I saw it but I think litter mates can remember each others scent for a couple of years after they're separated so there's a pretty good chance they'll recognise each other. They'll have to work out which one is senior in you pack pecking order of course which could be interesting.
Hope it all goes well for you all.

a bit of an update ...

luca has settled in very well with boycie
they are like chalk and cheese, boycie is very in your face, luca is so laid back its like 'whatever'

but they are after 3/4 days together like Tweedledum and Tweedledee
its like having two velocerapers in the house

both go for their op tomorrow (monday), so the household will be in a bit of a state for a few days

will give a bit more of an update later, with photos of both of them ...

a bit of an update as promised ...

both boycie and luca have recovered well from the op, we had to put them on leads indoors and do shift work for a couple or three days so they didn’t bust their stitches
but they are both back up and running and making not so merry hell again ...

a photo of the boys ...
Image

luca is on the left with the red collar, boycie is on the right with the black collar
last weighing a fortnight ago, luca was 28Kg boycie was 25Kg and they were at the 6 month old marker ...

Thank God, I thought this was an update to do with a certain thing that is happening that happens all the bloody time to 'normal' people without getting wall to effing wall 24 hour media coverage.

Those are two happy looking pups.
I would very much like my own dog but with the time I spend at work it just wouldn't be fair on the dog. Not to mention having to deal with letting agent [lifted] on top.

sorry but some sad news. Luca (the big fellow) passed away today after a months battle with lung tumours. we tried everything but were fighting a losing battle he was, in his final week, losing a Kg a day. he went from 41Kg to 29Kg in 4 weeks. unexpected as it was at 6 years old and in his prime we are just glad we could give 6 years of a very happy life. we believe the damage was done when a pup being beaten on a daily basis. sorry to share such sad news.

Boycie is doing fine but will miss the big fellow just as we will ...
