I'm not against differences in styles - I liked Mystery Inc, and I was OK with A Pup Called Scooby Doo, but the new incarnations looks horrid.

It's called Be Cool, Scooby Doo. Comments on Reddit like. The style to Ren and Stimpy and Cow and Chicken.

This incarnation looks worse than a lot of fan art efforts in Deviant Art.

Yeah, the nephew watches Cartoon Network. It can be very funny, but there's barely a show that isn't drawn and animated as creepily as possible.

Why can't they leave the classics alone and come up with something new?

We actually spent Christmas watching YouTube videos of our childhood programmes. It was interesting how much cross-over there was. But we had things like Andy Pandy and the Germans had the Rappel Kiste. Similar, but different. But then there were the international cartoons and series.
