The BFI is releasing Kubrik's 2001 in cinemas. More about this here: http://www.bfi.org.uk/whats-on/bfi-film ... ce-odyssey I have booked my ticket at the BFI cinema, South Bank Centre. However, many cinemas around the country are carrying this. This is one of those films that I really want to see to the cinema, so I'm glad I'm going. |

This is one of those films that makes me glad I have the home cinema setup. And the popcorn machine to go with it! |

Yup - and I've watched it many times, but I want to see it BIG. It's a film that needs to be seen in all its monolithic glory. |

The screen on our setup is... actually, I can't remember exactly, but it's well over 100" |

And I'm back. It was bloody spectacular - clearly obvious that it was designed for a big screen, but it really needs to be experienced big. It was almost like seeing it new - helped by this being a restoration. Another bonus - no adverts, no trailers. Straight into the film. Marvelous.
