I like working with things (gardening, craft, cooking, DIY) and I like working on IT systems, so contradictory, or I'll spend my time programming gardeningbots.

Sounds familiar

Vague survey's results are vague.

None of the questions, nor any of the answers, really inspire.

I've always found that the job isn't usually what people find satisfying. It's often the people you work with that make or break it.

It's a combination of the two. Many years ago, I worked on the bins, but it was a great job as we were a great team and spent all day working, but having a laugh whilst doing it.
My last job was teaching, which I loved doing, but some of the people I worked with.... sheesh!

Which of the two did you enjoy the most?

They both had there good and bad points. Working on the bins was a dirty job, (but someone had to do it) but it paid well, and we were finished by early afternoon, and, as I said in an earlier post, it was a lot of fun. Teaching was also great fun.

Dealing with certain managers, who were, (and still are) power mad fools, intent on grinding down any individuals who dared to think for themselves or question the frankly idiotic decisions being made... not so much.

I was really happy when I had a Saturday job working in Waitrose staff canteen. I also stacked shelves for them on Friday evenings. Had some great laughs as there were loads of us all around the same age and we would socialise after work on Friday and roll in with wicked hang overs on Saturday.

I used to work nights in Subway, and apart from drunk customers it was pretty fun. There's a lot more schmoozing going on in my new job and power games
