I think she's right - there's a big difference in devolution or a state of devolution and taking a decision that affects just about everything no matter where you are. It's an issue that's only came about because of self-feeding right-wing paranoia and sheer incompetence by those 'in charge' - a succession of governments who would sell their granny that basically led to devolution in the first instance.

UKIP can fcuk off with their supposed little England mentality too, as if they're not trying to get elected elsewhere.

She's talking cobblers. We have a UK parliament. It's job is to make these kind of decisions on the behalf of the population of the UK through their elected representatives. Only quite recently a majority of the people in Scotland said they'd rather the UK parliament made those kind of decisions than the devolved regional parliament, thanks. What she's asking for is devolution which, amazingly, she's not going to get. Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England are not members of the EU, so they can't decide whether or not to withdraw from the EU.

The UK population is 65 million people or some such? And, as an example, Northern Ireland's population is, what 1.8 million or so? So if 63m people vote in favour, 2m people should be allowed to veto it?

Cobblers.
