I'm working on putting together a short survey to try an identify areas where I can create a winter sports business to transition from my current employed status to actually being able to rock people's worlds in the winter. Would you be willing to help me out? Also, if you don't currently or have never taken a ski holiday - care to say why? |

It's too cold... I've never been, I don't know why, but it has never appealed. |

I used to when I lived on France, went to the Vosges every year. Here, my office organises ski trip but they are costly and less about skiing and more about getting drunk ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I can see why other people ski but it's not for me. |

Can I ask what kind of holiday you prefer, then?
So if it was more about skiing and less about partying, you would go? Do you like the idea of going with a group, or would you prefer to organise your own trip?
Are you able to say why and/or what you'd rather do for a holiday? |

We've both tried dry slope skiing, but I have neither the balance nor coordination to make it work, it felt a bit like getting beaten up by a ski slope honestly! Add to that my Mister doesn't like the cold AT ALL and skiing as a holiday destination is a no hoper for either of us. We don't like too long dedicated to one thing when we're on holiday either, we prefer holidays in the sun with plenty of interesting things to do and see, we love learning about the history of a place, we also like to please ourselves and be independent we hate things like bus tours and always hire cars so we can go where we like for as long as we like. We do museums and 'places' of interest, we also don't revisit the same place, once a place its done we don't tend to go back. |

I totally get the rush of hurtling downhill, but it's not something I personally need or want. In terms of a holiday for me I'm really simplistic. Swear to Coke, I spent a few days in Blackpool in a dingy B&B and was happy just to be out of Belfast! I'm just happy to potter about when I've been away, I'm a real tourist in that sense so probably not what you're looking for lol. |

I used to do motorbike tours across Europe. My last holiday was in the Harz mountains in summer, where we did a lot of walking. That said, I think I've had a holiday 3 times in the last 14 years. |

Heading to Japan for snowboarding in February. My makes mainly go there or America. They find Europe crowded and of inferior quality when it comes to snow. |

Skiing is ace (8+) These days my trips away (I hesitate to use the word holiday, because nowmally that is associated with relaxation away from the ordinay lefe you normally lead) revolve around photography, and I don't fancy skiing down a slope with my camera gear backpack on my back. Mark |

I'm highly risk adverse when it comes to physical pursuits. Hence I run in the gym and lift weights and that's about the extent of my physical exercise. Don't mind the cold but it's the risk of injury that concerns me. |
