Mark alerted me to this on FaceBook this morning. ![]()
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-29013022 Here’s the gallery link: http://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-br ... ereoscopic The BP Spotlights series appear to be free - http://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-br ... spotlights - but there’s nothing on the individual exhibition page to confirm this. Anyway, I’ll be there. We’ve marked it in the diary for a half-term excursion. I hope they sell cards from the series - I’d buy a set if they do. |

You have to love May - rock legend who dabbles in brilliantly geeky stuff. |

I doubt he'd be a boring person if you met him. This is his site. http://www.londonstereo.com/ |

I wonder what he makes of today's 3D cinema efforts. |

Well, I went to the exhibition this week. It's not massive - taking up one room in Tate Britain's gallery space, but well worth it. There are a number of paintings in the gallery's collection, along side with are various stereoscopic versions. The fool that I was didn't take a lorgnette viewer, so I could not see those in 3D. However, may of them were reproduced and placed in cabinets with viewers, so you could see them as intended. The exhibition is free, so next time I'm in London, I'll return for another look. |
