She's talking cobblers. We have a UK parliament. It's job is to make these kind of decisions on the behalf of the population of the UK through their elected representatives. Only quite recently a majority of the people in Scotland said they'd rather the UK parliament made those kind of decisions than the devolved regional parliament, thanks. What she's asking for is devolution which, amazingly, she's not going to get. Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England are not members of the EU, so they can't decide whether or not to withdraw from the EU.
The UK population is 65 million people or some such? And, as an example, Northern Ireland's population is, what 1.8 million or so? So if 63m people vote in favour, 2m people should be allowed to veto it?
Cobblers.
