If you're one of the 7m mis-sold worthless credit card and identity theft cover by banks, card firms or CPP, you could get a share of £1.3bn. Claim forms to get redress are being sent out, this is a guide to get your money back.

This is a massive scandal - virtually everyone with a credit or debit card was targeted. When you got new plastic, there was usually a sticker asking you to activate it - this was actually a ruse to sell you insurance.

I was falsely signed up to CPP by one credit card company and stopped it. I wonder if I can claim for something

Nope!

Having worked for a Bank I never had any PPI, CCP, or any bolt on insurances as I knew I could get them cheaper elsewhere if I wanted them

It was constantly offered, though I managed to avoid it, like most of the mis-selling scandals.

Hmm - I was, its seems, and my form arrived in the post yesterday. I now have to write why I think I was mis sold it. I don’t ever remember it being brought up when I opened the account - which was a very long time ago.

Oh, well. I’ll fill it in and hopefully get some cash back.

That seems to me a very good reason to be claiming...
