Not gonna bother myself cos it varies a lot for me like the article's author, but do you tend to read fast?

I tend to blast through news articles unless they require a bit more thought like science or technology. Novels depend on the writer - I've little interest in the research an author has done on the geography of his scenario for instance! And some prose only works if you read it slightly quickly to stay in the narrative.

Comics vary wildly in every sense but just like films the pacing is either stellar or crap, especially over a big arc.

Depends on what I'm doing with the information. In a novel, I often picture the story inside my head. Hence I might go slower. I'll go more slowly if it's something I'm trying to learn or memorise. I will go faster with anything else.

I did that test twice - the first time was 1333 wpm but that was skim reading. The second time was 934 wpm and that was still faster than I might ordinarily read.
