Help please guys. Having a panic before disappearing back to Italy this weekend. I need to send £950 to Denmark (preferably in DKK or EUR) but I don't actually have it. Can it be done with a credit card? Googling throws up a million things that don't inspire confidence. Anybody got any actual experience? |

Call the credit card company either way so they don't assume it's a fraudulent transaction? |

If you buy currency with a credit card then it's classed as a cash advance so you'll get fees and the higher interest rate etc In theory you could paypal or western union the money using a credit card |

If it is for goods and services then try with the credit card as that will not be classed as a cash advance. You could request easy payments via the credit card which might be more in line with your cash flow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

If it's in a foreign currency there is usually a loading charge Foreign currency bought with a credit card is treated as a cash advance EXCEPT with Amex when the currency is bought from Amex ![]() |

Thanks guys. Can't seem to find a way around it, so can't make the transfer. Don't have time to investigate further as I have my Grandad's funeral on Friday in Swindon, then I leave the country again first thing Sunday. |

Yeah, fees are mental with them AND the credit card. |
