Yeah, I left school in 1985 so it's about the same for me. Didn't start working in IT until 1987 though.

You can now block ads on your Samsung Galaxy S6 | TechRadar

I'd just assumed most mobile browsers had plug-ins for blocking. Mind you, mobile browsers are so sh1te that I keep an eye on many just in case one of them actually becomes useful...

Sites are getting wise to ad blockers, as you are probably finding out. Some obscuring content, some posting a banner asking for a donation.

The main reason I am still using Firefox.

Chrome's add-on API doesn't allow for NoScript's level of control (unfortunately, it looks like Edge is using the Google API), so there isn't an equivalent. The best you can do on Chrome is "NoScripts", but this is a very inferior copy. It can't disable on a domain by domain basis, it either enables all scripts on a page or none.

E.g. If a site, abc123.com has links to Twitter, Facebook, Cloudfront, doubleclick and various other tracking sites, with Firefox and NoScript, you can block everything but abc123.com, but with NoScripts on Chrome, you either allow everything or nothing.

The only known scientific, long term effect of taking a multivitamin on top of a well-balanced diet (ie nearly all western diets) is a slightly increased risk of death.

Save your money, by an apple.

Well, I'm taking it on the advice of my Nutritionist for precisely the reason that I don't currently have a particularly well-balanced diet, also on the advice of my nutritionist

Nutritionists have a vested interest in saying you're malnourished

Well, I was referred by my GP and the Nutritionist isn't getting any money out of me so I doubt it's in their best interests. Honestly, I'm not just throwing my money at a quack, I wouldn't be doing this if it were snake oil business. It's all controlled by my GP and Nutritionist so I have to have faith that they know what they're talking about in my case 8-)
