By all accounts you should have learned something new today, do you agree with the saying? If so, what is the something new that you learned today?

For me:

Yesterday: All speed boats attempting the speed record have an infinity sign insignia.

Today: When a director tilts the camera, such as in Fear and Loathing and Brazil, it's called a Dutch Angle, because German films in the 1930s used it alot.

Doesn't have to be interesting (as you can see :p )

I don't think I learned anything new today.

Oh wait, I think I did the one about not enjoying my job any more already.

That explains nothing! Surely German tilt would be appropriate?

Hmmm. Today I learnt that I can buy film more cheaply elsewhere than from Fuji directly.

I just learnt that in 1898 Reverend Hannibal Goodwin patented celluloid photographic film.

I learnt a small, boring (even to me) detail about my work process today - sadly, I think that's about it :(

Agreed. I think the facts above just shoved the last bits of GCSE French out of my head to make room. Oh well, it's probably more useful anyway. :P

I actually learnt a fair bit about SSL certificates today.

I really hate SSL certificates. It's almost extortion.

All BMWs (since 1961) feature a Hofmeister kink in the rear window:

I learned today that a Canted Frame can also be called a Dutch Angle.

Ahhh. :geek:
I can remember people asking if a framing looked a bit Dutch.
