Being honest, I had hoped not to have to make this announcement for a few years yet but...

One is to be a grandparent.

I believe it's due in the first week of January.

I'd be lying if I said I was delighted, as I believe that she should be concentrating on enjoying herself/finding her own place/saving up/travelling/having a life of her own before adding to the population, but they seem happy about it so all we can do is support them.

Not financially... ;)

More news to follow when I receive it.

Congrats Mr JV.

Having kids young.

Parents are physically better able to cope with the strain.
Grandparents get longer to enjoy their company.
When they are grown you are still in your 30's and life's a beach.
It's not all doom and gloom.
