At least 80 minutes a day, five days a week here. It'd be a lot more if I used shops more

You? Frankly, the 'results' are hardly surprising for various reasons...

Since getting a job that requires me to drive to work I walk a whole lot less than I used to, though when I was out on Saturday alone I walked 10 miles, and that was with a fully laden camera backpack, up ruddy great hills.
My legas are still feeling it now. *laugh*

I walk about 45 minutes to an hour a day just commuting, longer if I walk into town for lunch, went for a 4 mile walk with friends on Saturday and it was nice walk to the pub then a walk back ;)

When I used to walk to work, that was around 20 mins each way. Running/walking arohnd the hospital also used to keep me active.

However, since taking my current post, my fitness has dropped. I have to drive to/from work. Most of my work is in the same building and in the same room. The most exercise I get is when I take the stairs and I always sprint up them.

When I'm working I have a 30 minute walk round to my brothers for a lift share every day plus however far I trek around the building at work. Also normally head into town on foot at least one day of the weekend which is also a 30 minute walk so I reckon I'm doing at least 3 hours a week just going about my normal business. I really should try and get out of the house more often mind you but I suspect that's true of rather a lot of people.

I probably make an hour a week in the summer. 45 mins of that is mowing the lawn.

I walk at least 6000 steps a day which my pedometer reckons is about 2.5 miles (ish) on days when I do exercise classes it can go up to 9,000 or 10,000 steps and when I have mowed the paddock (like today and yesterday) I'm averaging 12,125 steps or 5.41 miles. All of that is on an office job!

Meh. I've no idea. I walk a lot at work. Easily an hour a day I reckon.

I walk a lot at work. I never stop unless it's break time. The joys of being a personal shopper lol

Just did my hour, walking the dog down to the beach. ;)

Does that mean I get the rest of the week off? :P

Not sure of the distance I walk each week, but I stand at work.

Yes mine is low as well, it all depends on circumstances. I have a break time program set up on my main iMac so that I am forced to take a break every 20 minutes or so. During that time I get up and do other things, so probably walk more than I suspect.

For various reasons, I don't get out much any more. I think walking up the stairs is the most exercise I get these days.

Before I was ill I had a pretty active job, and when I was at college I walked many many miles just to get about.

Amnesia: Jon didn't say his was low; just that he didn't know.

There's probably a pedo' app of some kind which uses the accelerometer. I'll have a look. It could be quite revealing.
