Thoughts in no particular order, no spoilers...

It's good, far better than 2. Some of the action scenes are fantastic, really good, though personally I'd like to see it again in 2D as I still find 3D jarring with quicker edits.

The 3D's pretty darn good but it's inconsistent - floating ash to make sure you know it's a 3D film for instance, though it isn't as noticeable or works as well in some of the action scenes, and even the talky bits.

The film feels longer than it actually is, and it's funny but some of the humour is a bit misplaced.

The longer you let people talk to you about the characters the sooner they're gonna tell you something you're better finding out yourself ;)

The credits sequence was right at the end of the movie at our 'VIP' screening, and to be honest, you'd be better 'Tubing it. There's no real payoff, no Marvel lead-in... it's a bit of a waste of time.

I haven't seen the film yet, but I know the structure of what Marvel is doing, and that is … to give us something different from last time.
Nothing too radical, but just different enough to make us think (which is a bit of a departure for blockbuster Hollywood).

Ash, so something burns or erupts then. You've just ruined the whole film for me. Spoiler alert please!

Not necessarily someone could have dropped their cigar ash on some water. ;)

Don't like Gwyneth's dress. What was she thinking?

Yes but she also demonstrates why she is one celebrity who annoys you, but you still fancy. Few people could pull off a dress like that at all.

I suspect quite a lot of people could pull off that dress, given the chance. (8+)

I find it somewhat appropriate she married a member of ColdPlay. She is very classically beautiful though.

Also renaming the main villain as Man Daren rather than Mandarin, which might upset the Chinese government.
