me atm 14 and a half hours, not used to that so im knackered, anyone can better that amount? (probably)

Well in my full time I work from 7:30 to 6:00 so that's 10.5 hours a day. Plus I normally do a couple hours at home also. |

It's not illegal, at least I know many many people who don't have such a break. In the rail industry, safety critical shifts must have 12 hours between shifts. My normal day is 8.5 hours. The longest shift I did was officially 16 hours. I've done more than that on occasion, but they won't sign my time sheet (doesn't make any odds to me as I don't get overtime) |

Officially, twelve. But it's actually thirteen as we have an hour long handover. |

Not for me. We can legally work up to sixteen hours a day with the OIM's permission. How strictly that's enforced varies from rig/oil company to rig/oil company. My record is a twenty four hour shift in one go and ninety hours over five day is you're not talking about one go. |

The other side is that there is little else to do in your off time so it might actually be better to cram the hours into the days that you are actually on the rig. |

I should normally only be doing twelve hours a day. That 90 in 5 days nearly sent me insane. I only ate three meals in all that time. Needless to say the sh1t had hit the fan. |

4 days a week, I do 8.30am to 4.30pm. Except mondays, when I do 8.30am to 7.30pm. Film industry stuff - 12-16hrs a day was the norm (depending on the job), often 11 days out of 14. I like the present regime better. |

I'm supposed to do 3 hours a day, but today I've not finished yet and I started about 10am. Some days I don't need to do anything so it averages out about right. |

I am contracted for 7.5hrs per day, 5 days a week, 9 til 5.30 pm . However unpaid overtime is fairly common, especially when a project is on site. My company is fairly relaxed on when I do my hours, so I tend to do 9.30 til 6 to miss rush hour on the victoria line. |

I "work" 08:00 to 17:00, but I'm lucky if it is under 12 hours. |

Since I went self employed I work as little as possible. I've got myself in a situation where if I do 15 billable hours a week that covers my bills and gives me enough disposable income for my musical activities. I spent too many years of my life doing 10+ hours a day including most weekends, and I never want to be doing that again. |

Mine is 9.00 to 5.30 but I usually get in at about 8.30. Occasionally I stay late. Last week I was there until 8pm as we were upgrading our phone system which has to be done outside office hours. This week I am at home as I am in my redundancy consultation. I now find out next Monday if I get made redundant or not. |

10-12 hours a day on my primary job then maybe another 2-4 on my additional sources of income. I try to restrict myself to sub 80 hour weeks |
