The last part, about the lack of controls on the products coming into the UK is a big bug-bear, here in Germany. The Zoll (Customs) here check a lot of products coming in from outside the EU, especially those coming in from China. But the manufacturers have found a new wheeze, if they ship direct to the UK, to a re-packing address, the goods don't usually get checked and they will not get slapped with import duty.

Once in the EU, the goods are free to move between boarders.

I guess they will have to find another transfer point, once Brexit is through.

Weird, I'm using Chrome here and it didn't show up. Second link did work though.

Having been a member of Unite throughout Len's tenure as GS I'm thoroughly unimpressed. I didn't vote for him last time and I won't be voting for him this time either.
In my personal opinion there's a spectacular lack of transparency and democracy in Unite and Len hasn't improved the situation one jot while he's been in charge, it's gotten worse.
