I used to collect the original GI Joe / Action Force 5" figures way back when, some of the detail on them was outstanding. I haven't looked at the film yet as it will invariably be a pile of pap, but it would be interesting to see how much of the Snake Eyes / Storm Shadow back story they go into. The old GI Joe comic book was actually pretty good in places. The death of the first Cobra Commander was superb; completely out of the blue and non-eventful, making it all the more shocking. I doubt the film will live up to the book like that ![]() |

I was never actually into GI Joe as a kid (an uncle brought me a single figure back from the States once, one of the later ones I think with a backpack that made gun noises), but I'm considering the upcoming cartoon box set (they're doing it in volumes too) and graphic novels now... |
