Batman/Aliens - first book I just re-read, brilliant, the second I'm just starting.

Batman Vs. Predator - So much I missed first time around, like the Predator getting confused when Batman swings round a corner and Bruce Wayne walks out of the alley instead lol.

I got 'A Small Book of Black and White Lies' and 'Option Click' both by Dave McKean, that I'm really looking forward to delving into.

The no rush credit is brilliant, continually using it for songs.

I got the Ladybird book of "The Hangover" for Christmas. Brought a smile so it did, but not as much of one as the most popular book doing the rounds this Christmas in my family:

My youngest brother (who is actually an artist with a qualification and everything) got at least two copies of this.

Predator: Incursion - 30 pages in, good so far. All the familiar tropes, but not used in a way that's too obvious. The 'Predator' bit is also a little misleading as it's very much 'wider Fox universe'...

Keep getting distracted as ever, but every chapter in this book jumps to one character. I mean it even names them in a big font and gives you the date. This is becoming supremely annoying cos it's close to feeling like you're starting the book over and over again (you eventually get back to characters from the beginning of the story). The author's other books aren't like this, and it doesn't bode well for his trilogy which already has covers advertised on this one. Which is obviously what this is all about.

I persisted and halfway through it had finally exhausted the character roster and got good! It still jumped about a tiny bit, but at least it got it's sh1t together and went stellar (no pun intended). I've just ordered the sequel!

Batman Vs. Predator 3 - Four comic arc and in the final book they realise that a Pred with only one arm hinders their story... So it just magically appears again. It was almost exclusively downhill in the late 90s with comics.

Amazon (Germany) gave away Dan Brown's Illuminati yesterday, if you downloaded the app to a smartphone. Looking forward to reading it again.

Reading the mini-comics from the 90's Aliens figures. They're ahead of their time in how they don't treat a young reader as dumb or whatever, but some of it's genius and some plain weird. A Scorpion Alien is relatively brittle for instance, but a Bull Alien is only really succeptible to fire. And for some reason Hicks keeps making IT references, 'Bout to get his hard drive smashed!', 'Download THIS!' etc

Started Excelsior!, Stan Lee's autobiography. It's in his words, but he chats to a guy who structures it lol, this is more necessary than you'd maybe think (Stan can't remember the name of the first girl he shagged!). So far it's just the easiest read ever.

He's 93 years old, he's allowed the odd memory lapse now and then.
