Still going through We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. I think the translation is a bit odd - there is apparently a rhythm in the originl Russian which the translator has attempted to preserve. As a result, it’s odd to read in places. It may be that another translation will be a smoother read. When I get to a book that I find awkward to read, I persevere, but I find it less inviting to pick up and continue with, hence the slow reading speed.

I re-reading my way through David Webers Honor Harrington books (up to War of Honor at the moment).

I really should try and get through all the original Dune series. I like the first one and have read all the prequels produced by Herberts son.

I'm trying to get hold of the Honor Harringtons I gave my dad for Xmas many moons ago, he's put them away somewhere and (in true old man fashion) now can't remember where  I really enjoyed them all, and I reckon my Mister would too, but I've got to lay my hands on them first... :D

Have you read any of the spin off series? Shadow of Saganami or Crown of Slaves? Both very good IMHO.
Although from the latest one it sounds like it's all going to get very complicated as the latest three all cover the same rough slice of time from three different perspectives.

Finished V for Vendetta and Screen Burn and have decided to start Stephen Fry's Moab is My Washpot (his autobiography):

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Moab-My-Washpot ... 758&sr=1-1

I'm 10 pages in. So far so good ;)

Trying to get my hands on Donald E. Westlake AKA Richard Stark AKA God-knows-how-many-name's books on the cheap - he wrote The Hunter AKA Point Blank AKA Payback... He's basically a PITA, but his books are supposed to be good

Merlin: The Prophet and His History
I picked it up on Wednesday to read on the train, it's pretty cool. Next time I'm up in Carmarthen with the purple one visiting her parents, I'm going to try to get to the Carmarthen museum to see some of the Merlin related articles there.

I've put Stephen Fry's Moab is My Washpot aside (briefly) to read... Stephen Fry in America, which I spied in the library 8-)

I'm not keen on the way each state is covered in about three short pages due to the print size and pics, but it's interesting and informative, told with Fry's usual wit :)

EDIT - Oh, and Punisher: The Ghosts of Innocents graphic novels (parts 1+2), but they'll be finished by tonight :D

^ I have one of his books somewhere, couldn't even tell you the title of it as I haven't read it

His 'Audience with...' DVD is brilliant :D

Finished the Punisher books (very good) and am steadily making my way through Fry's America before I have to take it back to the library :)

I have just started reading the "Thomas Covenant" chronicles, by Stephen Donaldson. So far it's proving hard to get into, but it's kept my interest enough to keep ploughing on. I recently bought "The Diamond Throne" The first book of the Elenium, I really enjoyed these the first time I read them, so I want to start collecting them to re-read.

At the moment, I don't really have much time to read. Therefor I genuinley purchased 1-4 of the Twilight Saga online audiobooks. It's only because my sister has told me that they are really good. I wanted to be able to hold some sort of conversation with her. Plus it's something to take both our minds of family life!

So I listen to them on the way to and back from work. :)
