I wish I shared your certainty.

I don't reckon he is acting  , we watched the other "Captains Logs" and he seems a bit of a mentalist, but quite genuine

That's mightily impressive.

Most vids are unwatchable for me, mainly because BT are throttling the traffic. I have to pause them, go make a cup of coffee and wait for at least half of it to have downloaded before I press play. Oddly, uploading is pretty quick!

But if anyone fancies a laugh, I dug this out of my vault of shame - it's the band I was in in 2000(ish). We played at a "70's night" reunion type thing at a hotel for some university types. We were all quite drunk and I still had lots of hair, but it may amuse.

Hey, that was pretty damned good! Which one is you?

Obviously the recording isn't great, but the vocals are really surprisingly talented and his guitar is very competent. I can't actually hear the bass very well, but it was probably pretty solid if you were there - same with the drums.

I approve of the bass player's style. I am usually seen wearing much the same, and often smoking

Slightly spooky - the guy at 3:32 looks exactly like me. Seriously - the slap-head with bad hair and fuzzy chin

Is that acoustic picked up at any stage?

I was the drummer!
Yeah, the acoustic was used on a Neil Young cover!

I actually remember seeing that episode of Jools when it was on TV* and thinking how impressive it was - and how funny that her solo performance trumped fully ensembled bands. 8-) I have however seen umpteen billion (gross exageration) people doing the same since, and with music I prefer. Still good though.

*Jesus that must have been ages ago.
