just doing "survey" here for myself to see if anyone has any crazy long times just to get into work etc, If I get the job I just had an interview for id have to drive for about 1 hour and 10 mins, but it doesn't matter because its on a very coastal scenic area, wind turbines one side and a bit stretch of coast with cliffs and oil tankers on the other, I jokingly said to the guy "Am I still in Scotland?" ![]() My dad has to drive for 2 and a half hours to get to work, possibly even 3hours when its snowing. So can anyone top that? etc ![]() |

I'm sure Caz does something silly. Personally it's a 40 min drive in to work and another 40 mins out. More if there's traffic. Longest it has taken me is 1h 10m. |

About 18 minutes of country roads. Today I'm working from home though. *gets back to work* |

About 30 seconds. Depends on whether I bother to get dressed or not. (I work from home mostly, so my "office" is a few steps away from the kitchen and bedroom. ![]() |

My commute varies by the time of year. Traffic is reduced by about a fifth in the summer and that makes an awful lot of difference as does the fact the weather is generally better. This time of year my commute (18 miles, give or take) takes about 45-50 minutes. In the worst part of the year (which is generally the weeks before before Christmas) it usually takes about an hour and 15 minutes. Coming home is slightly different as I wait until the worst of the rush hour is past before I head home. This does mean I do a more than 9-5 day but it's swings and roundabouts - I either spend the time sat at my desk or sat in the car. It takes me roughly an hour to get home. Jon |

I take the bus, so it can vary from 15min when getting a good run to 35-40 min when on a bad day. Mind that it's for about 2 miles. I walk back quite often as it's only a 45min walk. |

Approx 15-20 minutes each way, usually. 15 or less when the Chelsea Tractors are off the road, during school holidays.
I used to spend 3.5 to 4hrs commuting each day, and much longer in poor weather. I don't miss it. ![]() |

For me it's a 15 minute walk. For the Wench it's just over an hour in the car each way. |

Now it's just over an hour each way although in snow you can double that easily. When we lived in Stratford-upon-Avon it was little over 2 hours each way and once took me 4 hours in the snow. |

The worst commute I've had would be about 60 mins door to door, that was my last job in London. The best would have been in Cairns 4 years ago, I lived at 317 Draper Street and worked at 319 Draper Street. ![]() |

Takes me about 1 hour 15 mins door to door on a good day. I hate London Underground. |

On a normal day about 20mins for my 10 mile commute. When I worked in City of London it was like 90mins each way which did my head in - stuck it for 2years then decided to leave and get a life! |

If I'm working in London then I actually spend a total of about an hour driving, an hour walking, an hour on the express train, an hour on the tube and about 3 hours working. I leave home at 9am and generally return well before 5pm. I would work longer hours but the company won't pay for a peak time train ticket. Off peak is about 10am to 3pm! |

For me it can vary but anything up to 50 minutes when traffic is really bad (i.e. 5pm). Thankfully that's not every day. |
