Is anyone going to go and see that GI Joe film? There's no way in hell I'll be paying money to go and watch that at the cinema.

I won't even be downloading it, it just sounds absolutely awful!

Anybody else reminded of Team America while watching the trailer?

In some ways this is the most depressing thread on the forum. Not much to look forward to here.....

I know what you mean, but I personally look forward to some of the comic and 'reboot' films since some of the originals weren't the best to begin with, or have been tragically quality-diluted (Highlander for instance) :)

When last we talked about I, FRANKENSTEIN, it was just an intriguing premise: a film noir reimagining of the Classic Monsters universe in which a more mentally developed version of Frankenstein's monster makes like a hard-boiled detective, while Dracula plays the role of a crime kingpin. Now, we're getting a look at Patrick Tatopoulos's designs for these creatures, and... well, I'm still very intrigued.

Sounds very 8-)

Worryingly the only one of these that interested me was the Death Race prequel!
Reading that article I see that there is another live-action Resident Evil film underway called Afterlife! How did you miss this? At last something to look forward to amongst all the dross.

I was really annoyed to see uber-MILF Joan Allen in Death Race - it could only have been for the money. Or she fancies Statham or something

You could wind up liking The Walking Dead (the books are good) if Zombies are actually your thing :)

Jovavich must be one hell of a fan of the Resi games or something - why the hell else would you make those films over anything else :?

Unless it's something by that Uwe Boll character

Info here, God save us:

Have you seen her in Pleasantville? 8-) Great film, too.

Because she's engaged to the writer/director Paul W. S. Anderson and is marrying him this month. Incidentally her commentary on the DVD of Resident Evil 2 was one of the few I've enjoyed enough to listen to all the way through.

Pleasantville isn't my sort of film really, but I suspect I've just read about the bit you're hinting at, and will subsequently watch it the next time it's on TV

Re. Jovavich. I've even less respect for her now :( ;)

Movie commentaries can sometimes be utterly brilliant, but there's just too many that should never have been recorded, and consequently I don't usually listen to them (unless it's the Alien films etc).

But she is a Mac user, as she admits in the commentary, so that must boost your opinion somewhat?
