Lady in the lake, 1947. Adaptation of a Raymond Chandler detective story. IMDb info here. Haven't seen it myself but the idea sounds good. Does Cloverfield count? |

There's Diary of The Dead too, although that was numerous characters with cameras. And Quarantine, I seem to recall? And yes, Cloverfield. |

[Rec] in its original version. Forgot about that one. I suppose you could include Blair Witch Project too. One of the earliest films to do this was the notorious Cannibal Holocaust (1979), though that was only half the movie. |

Cloverfield and Blair Witch don't really count though. They were both done as footage taken from a camcorder carried by the stars of the film. If this is proper first person then this is different from that. This will be "what is seen through the eyes" of the person in the film. |
