I do - I like the idea of relative descriptions, Snowdon...K2... Everest that'd be good. (Although I'm not sure where Mount Monarch is) Or we could have major steps in man's "progress" - Bronze Age...Ice Age, The Renaissance, Space Travel.... Or calorific food metaphors, but the thing is there's little to associate these kind of things with our forum and would probably never be agreed on. Personally I'm adverse to them - although stating as much is just too late in the day now (and wouldn't have made much difference had I been more on point anyhow) - I'd rather a user-opted-for / requested slogan there if anything.

On my forum, everyone starts as a mushroom. They grow up into badgers. You know it makes sense.

I think the mods should have personalised one's as suggested by the forumites. In all seriousness, on another forum I frequent regular members do often have their own personlised tag under their username, these are usually suggested by other users and can only be changed by the mods. Usually there pretty funny and gives a bit more of a community feel. (Not that we need a boost here!)

If we are going to have personalised tags for frequent flyers could I please have "The Official Forum Prankster" Those of you with long memories may recall that Heather said that about me, a long time ago...

You see, such things just count quantity, not the quality of posts. Any chance of voting +1 or -1 for a post? Some kind of peer ranking may be a good thing to have.

Like the Apple and sun forums? They have points and you can give points away if someone answered the question correctly, but in order to give points you have to earn som (you start off with 10 or something)...
