Do the calculations, the East (Asia, Australasia) will be getting it after midnight, so I'm guessing Apple will be releasing it when the West Coast goes to work (around 09:00 - 10:00 West Coast / Pacific).

Probably this evening, basically. After 6pm I'd guess.

OK, based on the time difference here, I’m guessing that we won’t see anything before 5 or 6 pm our time at the earliest. Apple is in California, which is 8 hours behind us. At time of writing (12:07pm BST), it’s 4:07AM there. If start of business is 9am, then we have a good 5 hours to go.
Some Twitter posts hint that the roll out will be staggered, with UK getting our as 9pm. I have no idea if that is true. A twitterer did post a direct link to a file on a server, but I’m not risking downloading that, and I won’t be posting that here either, so don’t ask.

I've already got a copy of it (iphone registered developer) but it may have changed for the final version.
I'll just let itunes do it's thing (and break my PC)

It does when browsing the web in landscape mode. Don't know about other apps though.

That was my thought, with my htc, which had a landscape keyboard last summer... That truly shocked me, when it was announced. That was like the most obvious feature, that I just assumed the iPhone must have it...
