I'm assuming it comes away from the (probably awful) strap ;) , this is possibly the cheapest I've seen a 4Gb stick delivered...

That is seriously cheap. MyMemory are doing Kingston slim-style 4GB for £7.99 delivered which I thought was pretty good value too.

I've ordered one, so I'll probably post back here when it arrives - they're also doing a 2Gb Micro SD card for £5 also IIRC...

Worth pointing out here that a LOT of too cheap to be true USB sticks are fake.

I doubt any well known retailers will be affected but may sticks have been "flashed" to make Windows report the size of the disk as greater than it actually is.

It's all forms of digital media - I once got conned by a fake Memory Stick for my PSP (thankfully I got a full refund). I now only buy such things from reputable retailers like Amazon and Play.

Some big name brands got caught with the scam of "oversized" sticks.

Even a couple of tech magazines got conned... They bought a few thousand sticks to give away with new subscriptions and they turned out to be 1GB, no 4GB!

I read that, but it looks like it would be bloody awkward to 'port' if it didn't come away from the strap. And is it strictly a OPD if it has a cap, as the pic seems to suggest? :?

Don't get me wrong, I don't know the answers yet myself ;) , but I'll find out soon enough and let everyone know :D

While we're on the subject, I'll ask once again...

Does anyone know where I can get about 10 USB sticks for <£20, they only need to be 128MB, but I want them for some demo's I'm going to be doing next year...I can't find enough of the same make/model, as I'm not sure I can mix the disks...

Maybe email this guy and see if he wants to haggle - the postage isn't gonna be too different for two packs:

The stick arrived today, basically the whole thing is a moulded (spelling?) rubber strap with the cap at one end and the stick at the other, joining up so you can attach it to your wrist - assuming you don't mind it swinging like a lady's bracelet, or you've got wrists like a champion porn viewer

I knew I'd never use it as a wearable accessory anyway ;) , but I'd hate to have to rely on the mould - I don't think it would take much abuse

The drive itself doesn't seem the quickest when writing files to it, but again I expected that for a fiver, and I haven't properly tested it with different file sizes etc... All in, it'll store close to 4Gb for a fiver :D
