^ I'm obviously biased, but I don't mind when they have a go at the comics-based movies - primarily because they at least stand a chance with the usually half-decent source material
Also, it leads to things like Road To Perdition, Ghost World, The Mask etc getting made (all comics).
If they're talking about getting a good director in who understands what's needed for a reboot I have no problem (or a film where the original was crap to begin with), but I could definitely do with seeing more original material. I'd also argue against prequels - maybe it's just me, but I can't think of
one that anybody really thought was worthwhile
Oh, and some films should
maybe just be left alone - Alien, Robocop, Poltergeist, Highlander... I'll reserve judgement until the reviews at least
