Doesn't say whether he's got kids or not, if not he's a proper Darwin Award candidate.

As for
Quote:
A coroner ruled his death was accidental and plans to send a report to Apple about taking action to prevent future deaths.

How the [LIFTED} are they going to do that? Make phone chargers that don't use electricity?

Don't market them to morons, perhaps? ;)

Sadly, it seems morons are where the money is right now.

I read that and thought "WTF". Nobody has the right to expect anything from their parents once they're over the age of 18 IMO.

Indeed. I mean, most parents will try to help out their kids and this one did but burning through £1.6M in a that space of time... no wonder the parents weren't keen to keep supporting the son.
The sense of entitlement is just staggering. Maybe he should try running for US president.

I'm glad I stopped my subscription to PC Pro a while ago if some of the articles over at Alphr are anything to go by.
For example Intel’s new CPU has a crazy 18 cores.

Apparently AMD has released it's 16 core threadripper CPU already. That's certainly news to me (and AMD I imagine). They've announced it, which is basically all Intel has done with their 18 core part. I mean, fair enough we do know Intel has been making 18 core Xeons for some time now but this stuff is in the consumer wild yet and it doesn't look like it will be for a while yet.

Still, at least there seems to be some actual competition returning to the CPU market these days. All power to AMD, I hope they can sustain it.

So I get an e-mail from my energy supplier saying it's time to submit a meter reading (which it is).
Take readings. Try to put them in through my online account...
Electricity - website error
Gas - that reading doesn't look right (but they accepted it on the second try).

So I try to use the meter line number to enter my electric reading... doesn't recognise my electricity account number and I get put through to a call centre where they take both readings but then say they've got them both already (presumably through the website).

I'm wondering if they are making it such a ball ache to submit a conventional reading to make smart meters look like a better idea.
