You guys should come down here and take a break away from all that Kentish crap. If you want me to sort you something out, lemme know.

We may hold you to that - quite probably next year.

That's very true. It's easy to forget there are millions worse off. We only need to cast our gaze to Pakistan, or parts of China, to give ourselves a glass of perspective and soda.

Do I actually be alert to the fact that Bratty could be in the multi-storey carpark, with a sniper rifle?

Ah ha! So we know you work in Bath next to a river in a building with three floors AND you're in view of the multi-story car park. I think we've got you Edd!

I'm wondering if I'll have a job for much longer. Decision comes out today as to whether the system I've been working on gets commissioned. If it doesn't I don't know what will happen, but I feel that I might be released from the duties that no longer exist...

Oh, but there's several buildings along the river, although only one multi-storey that I'm aware of (or multi-storey above ground, at least).

He's sort of okay. We're going through a kind of grieving process now he's officially been registered partially sighted. It's a blow to the system, when you find there's stuff you've done and enjoyed for over 60 years which you simply can't see well enough to do any more. It's taking him a while to adjust, and we're both finding it frustrating.

Best wishes for hubby.

I know a little of what you speak - I'm slowly losing vision in my right eye. One thing I can say is that you do adjust eventually and learn to not just deal with it but enjoy some of the fringe benefits. Personally I've found that my other senses have significantly heightened in order to compensate - in particular my sense of hearing is f***ing superb! That and I'm not afraid to get hit in the right side of my head.

Oh and I have a bloody good reason to call 3d cinema a grand crock of sh*te ;)
