My original point stands ;)

Each unis although they may have good IT may focus on different areas, especially as there are so many different vocations to look at :)

So just go to the open days and find out what they offer yeah?

And Prof, I don't want to be fried

And when I say get away from the cows, I meant it as in, get away from this area, I've had enough of it really, it would be 20 years here by the time it comes to Uni, so I just want to leave.

And thanks Davgros, I'll have a look around at them :D

Absolutely, you need to see what they have to offer in terms of courses, what you will learn and what they offer.

Make sure you find out what they have in the syllabus as depending on what you want you might get a pile of internet stuff if you are after a proper programming course, also the languages you will learn etc

Oooh it's been years since I tried that in Port Glasgow. It is delicious. In guilty sort of way.

I know a guy from there, he's just got a 1st at Masters level there 90+% or something he got

And I agree with Finlay, go to open days, apart from the uni itself, you've got to be comfortable with the rest of the town/city/setting
