I've almost finished the latest Reacher book and I don't think I've got anything to read afterwards so I just bought for the Kindle:

The Martian - Andy Weir - £2.52
Bad Science - Ben Goldacre - £1.99

Very good so far, though as you might imagine he's blatant with his politics and tying wherever he happens to be or discussing into his own discourse.

No books, continue to read a boatload of magazines and articles though. As a result, I'm well behind on comics too.

Listening to the Cherringham short stories at the moment. Relatively simply written, but easy "reading" audio books. The English version is just called Cherringham, I think. The German version is called "Cherringham, Landluft kann tödlich sein" (Country air can be deadly). Reminds me a bit an Agatha Christie in the style where clues are withheld until the end, but you are still one or two steps ahead of the heroine.

Just starting the Harry Dresden series, interesting so far, but the story is slow to unfold.

Currently reading the humungous 800 pager The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. Set in the 12th century it's a book about building a cathedral. Loving it so much I've stopped reading the Metro in the mornings.

I find that a good decision. TP made the Discworld, it is his.

I've seen too many series ruined by other writers. The travesty that is the "expansion" of the Dune franchise being one such. :(
