I've only just noticed that Frank Frazetta, one of the greatest sci-fi and fantasy artists ever, died a few weeks ago. Renowned for his illustrations for Conan, Tarzan, John Carter of Mars, etc, I thought I'd post a couple of examples of his art as a belated tribute.

And Kate!! Also think that the opening homage to the old b&w Universal Films is very good. AVP2 has nothing to recommend it....you can't even see what's going on half the time. Try Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula for sexy vampires....it's got Monica Bellucci as one of the topless undead as well as Winona Ryder and Sadie Frost!

Beckinsale is great in almost every way... I just wish she'd pick roles in films I could stand to watch Oh, and AvP2 was so bad it's almost certainly killed that section of the franchises off for at least a decade

Kate probably does not get offered many decent roles any longer. She is approaching that age when work for actresses dries up. I still have not managed to sit through AVP2. Some interesting ideas like the Alien-Predator hybrid but generally wasted.

Jennifer Aniston is still getting roles in her 40s so there may be hope yet.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

True....just how she gets any work is one of the great mysteries of modern times.
