Sky uses movie muscle to nab exclusive Warner Bros deal

http://www.techradar.com/news/video/sky ... al-1098448

That can't be right, unless they're talking about streaming, can it? :?

Sky Movies will be able to show Warner Bros films around six months after they finish their cinema runs, with exclusivity to Sky's services remaining in place for over a year after that.

And then there is bit torrent. 8-)

Cliff Barnes is back

Quote:
Just as John Ross sets out to claim his birthright and make his father proud, J.R. decides to move back to Southfork, much to Ann's dismay. Meanwhile, bitter Ewing family enemy Cliff Barnes returns and tries to reconnect with nephew Christopher, and a startling family announcement offers an opportunity to heal old wounds.

Yes but there are also services like Netflix which looks interesting. Though since you cannot see what has what until you sign up it makes it a gamble. I might actually look more closely at Lovefilm with its disc service that makes more sense to me. That said I am not watching much TV as it is anyway.

A few weeks ago I was blown away by the 47" Panasonic 3D TV in Comets. So started looking into the options. Freeview is possible but very little 3D content. Not so sure about Freesat but needs further investigation. So Sky's 3D offering looks best but then it is expensive for the amount of time that I am watching. In the end a 3D blu ray player might be best of all. Plus Tesco are doing bonus clubcard points on preorders.

Bit late now, but sky Atlantic are showing every episode of Seinfeld. It kind of passed me buy due to it not being particularly popular over here and my age at the time it was shown on channel 4. It's really brilliant and if you like curb your enthusiasm you can really see where it came from. Can't believe I wasted the 90s watching friends.
