It's a lot more than £30k and not sure what your comment means...

I'm guessing a Halliburton severance package probably wouldn't stretch to a round of drinks at your local!

You're probably right Jon. Though I have been here nearly 10 years so deserve a big pay out.

I'm bursting with exciting news that I can't tell anyone.

I am currently sitting on 2 huge secrets, one of which comes to fruition on the 4th June, but the other one has to wait an extra 2 weeks!!

I want to tell everyone I ever met about it, but I daren't and I have to keep reminding myself that I can't tell anyone because I am the absolute *worst* at keeping a secret.

*squeak*

Glad you had a good time. Loved the pics! Whe is secret 2 official? :D

Hopefully next Monday, but watch this space..... [ ]

:)

Secret number 2 is out!!

I've handed in my notice at work and on the 22nd of August I start my new adventure. I've passed all the testing and interviews and got a confirmed job as a Student Paramedic so I will be spending the next 3 years working as a paramedic, alongside studying for my degree.

I'm equal parts excited and terrified, but just so relieved that it's all out in the open and I don't have to hold on to the secret any more. People appear to mostly be really pleased for me, they seem to think it's the perfect role for me and it's reassuring that they would want me to show up if they were ever in need of a paramedic

So, now I just need to keep my head down for 7 weeks and sort out my handover!!

I have to say Zippy, that is [LIFTED] awesome, and so are you. Absolute best of luck.

Thanks very much, I'm expecting it to be a lot of hard work but rewarding and it's amazing to feel like I won't be spending the rest of my career arguing with people about their rights to business class flights, or who's budget a trip is coming from. I'm ready to give back some good to the world and I hope the next 7 weeks go quickly!!

The only thing on my mind right now is the little procedure I'm going for tomorrow to have my baby making ability stopped. In fact I can't stop thinking about it and am frankly [LIFTED] myself!
