No, I was really quite serious. I'd never entertain the thought of a de-ac firearm as they're a popular item for theft, and nor do I wish to be on the receiving end of an adrenaline filled Police team with an over anxious leader. What are you buying it for? As an art piece? For just looking at and appreciating the superbly simple engineering? Or something else? Where are you going to keep it?

Just changed the desktop wallpaper on my work laptop to this: A picture of my late dad, outside his house, taken from Google Maps.

Just been updating all my mail filters to take care of the change of addresses that they use. Why can't anyone stick to one email address for email?

Changing jobs. Avoiding spam. Changing name (marriage/divorce/company).

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Yes friends I can understand, I have dozens for some friends but generally only one that I need to filter. If people have jobs they will not necessarily use that for private mail. Marriage and divorce are perfectly acceptable. People will then use the new one when they switch so not a problem. It is the changing every few months that is an issue especially with news letters.

You're better off with a hand gun then. That'll be more difficult to acquire tho. Personally, I think guns convey the wrong message. But unfortunately, they're also cool. Just how it is.

I love guns. Some of them are absolutely beautiful pieces of engineering from all different eras. My dad would probably have quite a collection of old guns by now, but since the laws changed he's had to give them up. Apparently an antique flint lock in pristine firing condition is classed as a short muzzled shot gun, or something equally daft. In other news, I spent half of today surrounded my Mac Users and talking to a Mac support engineer. I got to touch his shiny Mac Book Pro. It was my first time

It was the solid aluminium body one, but I suspect it would be easy to break with a hammer.
