We just blanked anyone who didn't observe the two minutes silence, the only one to get a bit sh!tty about being ignored soon got the message.

I've heard worse ideas, though it'll be a farce unless they've sorted out Axl's time-keeping.

I went to see them in Manchester. Axl held the G'n'R section of the concert up by about 2.5hrs, if I recall correctly. Support from (I think) Soundgarden and Faith No More was excellent. Axl was a knobhead with his crap timekeeping for gigs. Mark

Same in Belfast with his own line-up.

If The Cult had've just given their songs a louder sound they'd have been a much bigger band IMO. All the elements are perfect, they just sound restrained in the recording.

Oh man, there's some of their stuff that I really like. I suspect there's a lot I've not heard that I may also like, but I've just not explored the recordings so much. Mark

Yeah, me too. Rain for instance kills live etc but the actual release sounds like it needs remastered by comparison.

Why are concert tickets so expensive. *sigh* Alternatively, why am I so skint that I can't afford the price of a ticket. *sigh*

How much are you talking and for who? I certainly laugh at the prices my sister pays for pop acts.

£50 for Def Leppard at the Odyss ... sorry, the SSE Arena. I know that's not mahoosively expensive, but it's still expensive when you want two tickets. Mark

It's still questionable, though you're getting Whitesnake too IIRC? I think that's the issue these days, for tours to work out financially you get limited/joint rock gigs, pop stars basically putting on a circus just to sell merch etc. All because there's no money in the music any more.

Yeah. I certainly don't begrudge giving it to them, afterall they are making music that I'm going to live with for the rest of my life, and that's worth paying for, but I just don't have it. £30 a ticket I could do, but £50's just too rich for me. Mark
