If you do quit, spell out exactly why for HR in your resignation letter.

I would, except I already know how corrupt HR is from experience. Nothing short of a media campaign would truly get their attention. Plus, their 'strategic head' sorts out all the unwitting new staff for our bigger bosses, so it's a mutually beneficial relationship.

Day off tomorrow and my sister-in-law's wedding on Saturday. Mostly though, I'm just bursting with pride and pleasure that this is finished in time to be a lovely hand-embroidered and personal gift:

So glad it's finished!!

Whether I'll get security clearance to work in UAE after the failure last time.
I've got two job offers and effectively my career riding on it.

Personal gifts are so much better than just random junk. I hope they appreciate it.

The bitch in work who hasn't a friend to her name in the place is still predictably lashing out via work-related emails. There's absolutely no need for it, and especially when everything we're doing at the moment is supposedly urgent and has been for weeks. She is also causing staggering tension with her own bosses to the extent that one of them apparently doesn't want her near him. Meaning she'll be near us again. I can't actually express how much she poisons the atmosphere.

And they won't do anything about her because she has a history of putting complaints in, warranted or otherwise. She basically gets people to eventually snap so she can paint them as unreasonable afterwards. People snap because she moves the goalposts every day while badmouthing the staff member to her bosses. The place runs fine when she's not there and the sooner they admit that to themselves, the sooner everything will improve.

Get loads of people to put a complaint in about her first.

She's 'covered' by HR, they're a shifty outfit in my job. It's gonna require the big boss to grow a pair and get rid of her.

Then get people to complain to him. Without complaints it'll be hard for him to give her the boot

Yip, that's likely what it'll come down too. He hasn't been seen for days though, as the three bosses have all fallen out.

Gave my missus a split lip. Elbowed her in the face.

I was sat in bed on my laptop and she came in the snuggle up to me. I went to put my arm around her and somehow accidentally elbowed her when I was trying to pull my arm back so I could wrap it around her.

I really hate this trend for deliberately making things look supposedly retro then pretending it's a 'style'
http://news.toyark.com/2015/09/25/nycc- ... res-176662

It's especially bad with indie games and even book covers these days, 'it's not lack of skill or imagination at all, it's stylish!'. It's not like I'm looking for high art ffs, but even something inadvertently eye-toxic looks better than something deliberately made to look sh1te. Can't help wondering if everything's so fake now that we look for overt fakes to placate ourselves!

And she's just made a girl cry. Seemingly knowing that she's gone too far recently, she set a box of chocolates down and nobody said a word... I'm gonna speak to one of the other bosses and give him a heads-up, and an informal complaint. I mean FFS, as a pre-emptive arse-covering exercise, she just scrapped a bunch of info that we'd been chasing for months. Even though we need it and can legitimately ask for it.

Trying to find a nice hotel to stay in Bournemouth with the missus. Some don't have availability. I could book the Marriott but it's ~£430 for two nights. I've already got the debit card out but not sure if the missus would be upset at me for spending so much, when we could use the money to do more stuff.
