The cat is nothing but affectionate.
The rabbit's already had a go at my feet.
And which is the alleged vegetarian?

The clue might be American

It is worth keeping in mind when you think to yourself, 'Screw the form-filling, I'll just quickly punch in my Paypal log-in'.

It has been decreed that I'm too old for jeans and would look more fashionable in chinos. I last wore chinos in my late teens and decided never again.

Jeans are general work wear over here, even for a lot of office staff. I certainly have worn jeans as my main work trousers for the last 10 years, working at an advertising agency, chemical / plastic manufacturer and software company for the food industry... Even our CEO wears jeans most days. The company even bought me a pair for shows, which match the other management types who go to the shows, along with a blazer and white shirts.

I don't mean this the way it might look, but why not? Maybe without the swearing...

I know. Plan was to buy a pair, ruin it and thus show the superiority of jeans. I much prefer them as they're hardwearing, can take stains and still come out clean after a wash, and have yet to have a pair split on me. Unlike trousers.

Interesting that she waiting until you moved together to try that ;) If it bothers her so much, she should really have said earlier.

You do know that 'age appropriate' wear is now out of the window? I have a man in his mid 50s sat next to me in jeans and I know I dress 'younger than my years'.

So yeah bollox!

Yep agreed. Jeans are ageless. If someone told me what to wear I'd tell them to sod off and get rid of them.

Please remember that throughout my early 20s, I always thought I looked best in black. My wardrobe was largely black with some whites, greys and blues (and maybe a couple of burgundy/maroon tops). It was only in my late 20s that I ventured out into wearing coloured shirts at work and trousers with stripes. It was only a few years ago that I started wearing more colourful clothes.
