Nothing much new to report here, apart from the fact that I can't stand the smell or taste of tobacco. Most recent high spot was the mint choc chip flavour by www.virginvapor.com. Is anyone steeping their fluid? Or just going straight from the bottle? Last three flavours were: Coconut - fine for the first few days, but then distinctly dropped flavour. Or I got used to it. Not sure. Mango - Yummy. Spearmint - Also yummy. From my local store ( http://vapourstation.com) who use a PG/VG mix. Not bad, but not as smooth as the 100% VG from virginvapor.com.

Well done on the tobacco bit, it's a great feeling isn't it. I steep fluids I make or ones I know are fresh. Prepackaged ones from bigger brands are usually OK (they mix well in the post)

I wish they made asthma medicine taste nicer. That stuff's rank, and you have to wash your mouth out afterwards because it can cause oral thrush. Anyho, here's a vaper built into a Nintendo controller. http://hackaday.com/2013/09/10/e-cigare ... ontroller/

I think I'm going to be ordering one this weekend, gf is keen on me to try and quit for Stoptober Aside from a vape kit and liquid will I need anything else? Looking at http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ego-v-v2 ... sthrough-i or http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ego-e-ci ... arge-cable (both about £23 on offer) and http://www.scan.co.uk/products/10ml-liq ... -standards http://www.scan.co.uk/products/10ml-liq ... -standardshttp://www.scan.co.uk/products/10ml-liq ... -standardsto start me off but have a few questions How do I know which strength nicotine liquid to get? Is it a personal preference sort of thing or is there guide? How long could I expect a bottle to last and what is involved in mixing them? Any horrendous flavours to avoid from the selection chosen or ones I should try first as a benchmark or better places to buy from?

The Liqua ones are good, you can get them cheaper but they take a while to arrive so get some from Scan to begin with. You'll get through about 3ml a day or so, so I'd get 30ml bottles. If you smoke cigarettes then 18mg is a good place to start (you absorb the nic differently with vaping so you need to start higher). I'd personally avoid tobacco flavours as they don't taste like smoking and you'll soon hate them. I've found the tiramisu, energy drink, mixed berry and vanilla to be very good. The v2 is a great kit, just remember to get a few spare CE5's so you can rotate flavours & the need replacing every few weeks. Also avoid citrus flavours in the CE5's as they'll crack (you need glass tanks for citrus)

Cheers for that I figured if I have it all ready for stoptober I can see what I'm using and also if I'm getting on with it, went for the v2, an additional CE5 and 2 30ml bottles of the cola liquid

The cola is OK. Just keep the voltage down on the v2 as it tastes a bit strange at higher voltages. Also wash your CE5's first

Got it delivered today, the battery part is a lot bigger than I thought it would be, more of an e-cigar than e-cigarette!

Big battery = more vaping time. My v2 looks tiny compared to the vamo

Might need to look at a case for it at some point then!
What is the best way to wash out the CE5? Just some warm water? Washing up liquid?
